RJVideo policies
RJVideo Terms
These Terms govern your use of RJVideo, an AI-driven cinematic reel generation service operated by 'Regular Joe' (Joe's Workshop) and accessible at rjvideo.app. Payments for credits are made through Dodo Payments Inc. as Merchant of Record.
Last updated: May 25, 2026
1. Operator and Merchant of Record
RJVideo is operated by 'Regular Joe' (Joe's Workshop), an independent EU-based creator. Credit purchases are sold by Dodo Payments Inc. ('Dodo') as Merchant of Record under Dodo's own terms; Dodo handles payment processing, tax, invoicing, and chargeback compliance from its registered address at 8 The Green Suite B, Dover, DE 19901, USA. RJVideo is the AI generation service you access after credits are issued. The legal contact for RJVideo is info@regularjoe.io.
2. Service
RJVideo is a hosted AI tool for cinematic vertical reel generation from a topic or uploaded source. Two modes are offered: Story Mode (narrated 30-second reels) and Quick Mode (image-to-video). Use is credit-based and pay-as-you-go via Dodo.
3. Accounts and credits
Sign-in is in active development (Phase C). Credits are non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash. Material credit-policy changes do not apply retroactively to credits already purchased.
4. Your inputs — warranty
You warrant that you own, license, or otherwise have the rights necessary for every input you provide, including images, prompts, audio, and references.
5. Your inputs — consumer liability for harm caused by your breach
If you are an EU consumer, you are liable to RJVideo and Dodo for direct losses caused by your intentional or negligent breach of these Terms — for example, knowingly uploading copyrighted material, content depicting real persons without authorization, or unlawful content. Nothing in this clause limits or removes your mandatory rights under EU consumer law.
6. Business-user indemnification (B2B only)
If you use the service in the course of a business, trade, or profession, you fully indemnify and hold harmless Regular Joe, Joe's Workshop, RJVideo, and Dodo against any third-party claim arising from your inputs, including copyright, trademark, right of publicity, privacy, defamation, deepfake, and AI Act compliance claims.
7. Your outputs — your responsibility
You own your generated outputs subject to applicable intellectual property law. RJVideo does not pre-moderate outputs. You are the publisher of any output you distribute and solely responsible for compliance with the laws of every jurisdiction in which you publish.
8. Acceptable use
The following are prohibited: child sexual abuse material; non-consensual deepfakes of any real person; face-swap, identity replication, or visual impersonation of real individuals; content inciting violence or unlawful acts; election interference or political misinformation; content promoting self-harm; circumvention of credit or rate limits; reverse-engineering or scraping of the service; uploading content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights. We reserve the right to refuse service, suspend accounts, and cooperate with Dodo's Merchant Acceptance Policy enforcement on any of the above.
9. AI transparency and synthetic media disclosure (EU AI Act Art 50, effective 2 August 2026)
You acknowledge that all outputs are generated by an AI system. When you publish or distribute outputs that constitute synthetic content of an audiovisual nature, you must clearly disclose AI generation where required by the EU AI Act or any local law in your jurisdiction. RJVideo also presents a visible 'AI generated' notice at the point of generation.
10. Service availability — 'as is' with EU consumer carve-outs
The service is provided AS IS and AS AVAILABLE. AI models may produce inaccurate, biased, or unsuitable results — review outputs before publishing. To the maximum extent permitted by EU consumer law, we exclude implied warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, and accuracy. Nothing in this clause excludes mandatory consumer warranties under EU law.
11. Limitation of liability — non-excludable carve-outs
To the maximum extent permitted by EU consumer law, RJVideo's total cumulative liability to any user is capped at the amount that user paid us in the 6 months preceding the claim. There is no liability for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or lost-profits damages. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, intentional misconduct, or gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by applicable EU law.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms; updates take effect on publication. Material changes will be flagged on the rjvideo.app landing for at least 30 days. Material changes do not apply retroactively to credits you have already purchased. If you do not accept a material change, you may stop using the service and request a refund of unused credits within 30 days.
13. Governing law, dispute resolution, and your EU rights
Disputes are governed by EU consumer law. Your mandatory consumer rights under EU law — including the 14-day cooling-off right under Directive 2011/83/EU, subject to the digital-content exception described in the Refund Policy — are not waived. For formal disputes, first email info@regularjoe.io. Where required by your national law, you may use the Alternative Dispute Resolution body available in your EU member state; consult the European Commission's consumer redress resources for the current list.
14. Contact
All contractual notices and requests should be sent to info@regularjoe.io.
