RJVideo Refund Policy
This policy describes how RJVideo — operated by 'Regular Joe' (Joe's Workshop) — and Dodo Payments Inc. (Merchant of Record) handle refund requests for credit purchases, in line with EU consumer law.

1. EU cooling-off right and the digital-content exception
Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU, EU consumers have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance-purchased service. By initiating any generation that consumes credits, you expressly consent to the immediate performance of the digital service and acknowledge that you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal for those credits, to the extent the digital content has been supplied. Your unused credits remain refundable within the 14-day window.
2. Unused credits — full refund within 14 days
Credits that have not been consumed are fully refundable within 14 days of purchase. Refunds are processed by Dodo as Merchant of Record to the original payment method.
3. Used credits — generally non-refundable (technical-failure exception)
Once a generation job is accepted, GPU and storage costs are incurred immediately. Consumed credits are generally non-refundable. Exception: documented technical failures attributable to RJVideo — a job fails to complete after charge — for which credits are restored or refunded.
4. How to request a refund
Email info@regularjoe.io with the email used at checkout, the Dodo order reference, and a short reason. We acknowledge within 3 business days and route eligible refund requests to Dodo.
5. Processing
Refunds are issued by Dodo as Merchant of Record to the original payment method. Bank-side settlement typically takes 5 to 10 business days.
6. Chargebacks
EU consumer chargeback rights are preserved. Please contact us first so we can resolve the issue without a chargeback dispute. Note that purchases use a click-to-accept flow that records your acknowledgement of immediate performance.
7. No retroactive policy changes
Refund-policy changes do not apply retroactively to credits already purchased. If we materially change this policy, credits purchased before the change remain governed by the policy in effect at purchase.
8. Subscriptions
Subscriptions are not currently offered. RJVideo uses pay-as-you-go top-up only. If subscription plans are added, separate refund terms will be published.
9. Disputes
Where required by national law, you may use the Alternative Dispute Resolution body available in your EU member state. Consult the European Commission's consumer redress resources for the current list.
